STRP Mission Statement: 

To provide individualized therapeutic horseback riding for people with special needs by promoting safety and enjoyment.

STRP Program Objectives:

1. To foster the growth and development of therapeutic riding for individuals four years of age and older with various special needs throughout the Greater City of Sudbury;

2. To establish and maintain standards of excellence in therapeutic horseback riding in collaboration with our medical partners in care and in accordance with the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA);

3. To promote ongoing professional development opportunities for instructors and volunteers through seminars, clinics and conferences;

4. To support research and development in all aspects of therapeutic riding;

5. To promote the development and sustainability of community partnerships.
